Volkswagen Servicing - AdBlue Top-up

Reduce Your Carbon Footprint

To create a healthier environment for all, certain Volkswagen TDI models are now equipped with AdBlue advanced emissons control equipment.

This will clean the exhaust gases that are emitted from a car in order to meet the new EU6 exhaust emissions regulations.

AdBlue is a non-toxic. non-flammable; biodegradable urea and water-base liquid additive that filters the gases from a car exhaust to remove NOx -nitrogen oxide- emissions.

When you start to run low on AdBlue, you'll receive a notification from the information system. After travelling for about 620 miles, typically the car will consume between 1 - 1.5 litres of AdBlue. This depends on model and driving style.

Currently only select TDI models will require AdBlue. If you are unsure whether you use it or not, contact Marriott Volkswagen and we'll help. Our Volkswagen trained technicians have been fully trained with AdBlue, who will only use an especially designed adapter to ensure no spillages occur whilst topping up.

When you need a top up of AdBlue and visit one of our Volkswagen Centres, you will only be charged for AdBlue by the litre, allowing you to pay for what you need.
