The Motability Scheme allows you to have the freedom you deserve through your mobility allowance to receive a brand new car with any adjustments you may need. When you visit our Volkswagen Commercial dealership for your Motability appointment, all you need to bring is your driving licence or that of any planned drivers, a letter of award entitlement, and proof of your address (a recent utility bill, for example). There are no forms or paperwork involved, no medical questions or assessments, no waiting lists, and no credit checks.

When you decide to purchase a Motability vehicle from Marriott Volkswagen, you can take advantage of the Motability New Car Payment. Motability are giving customers £750 (once per customer), which can be used directly towards your Advance Payment or it can be paid in full to your after you get your vehicle - the choice is yours. As long as your order your first vehicle before the end of 2024, you will be eligible to receive this £750 payment. If you were already on the scheme before 1st January 2022, you'll be eligible whenever you get your next vehicle.

What is Motability?
The Motability Scheme allows you to exchange your qualifying mobility allowance for a brand new car, so you can enjoy more freedom and independence. Vehicle payments will be sent directly from your allowance provider, ensuring payment is simple and stress free.
Costs vary depending on the allowance you receive and some models require a non-refundable Advance Payment in addition to the weekly allowance.

Am I Eligible?
The Motability Scheme allows anyone in receipt of either: the Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HMRC DLA), the Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP), the War Pensioners' Mobility Supplement (WPMS) or the Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP), to use their mobility allowance to lease a vehicle with Marriott Motor Group.
As long as you receive one of the above qualifying mobility allowances with at least 12 months left, you’ll be eligible to join.
What Motability Adaptations Are Available?
There are many adaptations available to ensure your vehicle is easy to use. Changes can be made to many driving controls including the steering wheel, accelerators and gear-sticks, whilst swivel chairs, transfer plates and hoists can make getting in and out of your car a breeze.
If you need help with storing or moving equipment such as a wheelchair, boot and roof hoists are available for extra help.

How About Going Electric?
We have a range of fantastic electric vehicles available on the Motability scheme suited for all lifestyles. Electric vehicles not only offer emissions-free driving but the batteries offer a much quieter and smoother experience than regular combustion engines.
The cost of standard home ChargePoint installation is included, but you will have to pay extra if you need non-standard installation, for example if your parking space is not next to your home. You will also be provided with the new Motability Go Charge card, which gives you easy access to over 45,000 public charging stations with one single app and card.
Motability Go Charge
Go Charge is an app from Motability that shows users where they can find charging points along with the tariff information, plus use the built-in navigation system to help find your closest charging point. You will also receive a physical card, so you don't need to worry about carrying money; just use the card to pay for your charges.
