What is the London Congestion Charge?

London has imposed a daily Congestion Charge if you drive within the Congestion Charge Zone between 07:00 – 18:00 Monday to Friday, and 12:00 – 18:00 Saturday and Sunday. Rental vehicles are not exempt from the Congestion charge which is £15 per day. There are no charges between Christmas Day and New Year’s Day bank holiday.

If you do not pay the Congestion Charge, you will get a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) which is £160. You can find out more about the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) here.
