Volkswagen Division are creating a new department to manage all digital enquiries for VW Passenger Car and all finance renewals for both VW Passenger Car & Commercial Vehicles. This is a unique opportunity to join the newly created department. We are looking for 2 full time colleagues to create this department working both from Bury St Edmunds Volkswagen Van Centre and remote working for part of the time.

The Divisional Sales Enquiry Department will run from 9.00am – 21.00pm Monday to Friday, 9:00 – 17:00 Saturday & 10:00 – 16:00 Sundays with flexible working patterns available.

The key purpose of this role is managing, monitoring and responding to all ‘Centralised’ in-bound Sales enquiries, with the purpose of the Sale of New & Used Vehicles, including all applicable products & insurances.

This will include all associated activities relating to sales customer lead management, ensuring compliance with all internal and external processes and regulatory requirements.

Sales & Service/maintenance plan contract renewals management and execution is included within the scope of this role. This incorporates all Retail and Motability related purchase contracts currently active within the Volkswagen Division

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Operate as the primary point of contact for all digital in-bound sales enquiries presented via any third-party web-based platforms either to a full conclusion, or alternatively, for the enquiry to be appointed to the applicable retailer within the Volkswagen Division upon initial enquiry consultation and qualification process
  • Utilise all available digital resources in order to present and demonstrate features, benefits & functionality of relevant vehicle/s selected with customer, ensuring appropriate resources/methods are utilised dependent on customers’ requirements. This will include the provision of a ‘live chat/video call’ facility from a customer initiated activity or where the opportunity exists to actively propose this solution during the customer consultation process
  • Present customers with information of all applicable financial products and services associated with the selected vehicle/s, ensuring comprehensive features, benefits and conditions have been provided to enable a fully informed customer decision to be made during negotiation of purchase.
  • To conduct customer follow-up from all enquiries as provided by Retailer Sales Enquiry Managers and to ensure full customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct daily review of all existing customer enquiries, ensuring that all actions are completed within agreed timescales in accordance with prevailing SLA’s and customer expectations, and that agreed actions and timescales are appropriate for the nature of the enquiry
  • In collaboration with the appointed Line Manager, formulate a sales enquiry funnel management in order to establish periodic objectives in-accordance with the Divisional sales volume requirements.
  • Ensuring the management of renewal customers (Finance and non-Finance). Ensuring each customer is contacted at set intervals and provided with customer care offering the opportunity where applicable to change vehicles, refinance their existing package, purchase of service plans and other services.
  • Ensure that all customer data is captured and recorded during initial consultation.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals who are prepared to work hard in order to get great results. A pre-requisite will be for a minimum of 2 years’ experience of car sales/management as this will be a specialist skills role being fully conversant with distance sales regulations.
