Company Car Tax

If you drive a car that has been provided by an employer and you can use it outside of work, then it is considered a company car and taxable by the HMRC. A company car is officially known as Benefit In Kind (BIK).

Company car tax is calculated by a car's CO2 emissions, the P11D value and your personal marginal tax rate, currently 20%, 40% or 50%. The P11D value is the list price of your car, including VAT and any delivery charges.
