  • "Our association with Bury St Edmunds (Northgate) Volkswagen stretches back to 1973 when my wife purchased her first VW Beetle.  Since then she has been loyal to the Brand, but more importantly all her subsequent purchases have been negotiated with Bury St Edmunds (Northgate) Volkswagen who have also carried out all the routine Servicing.

    Without exception, the courtesy, friendliness and professional manner with which we have been treated is testament to their superb Customer Service.  For us, garages are not normally places we choose to visit, but at Bury St Edmunds (Northgate) Sue Thompson, the first point of contact, always welcomes you with a smile and signposts you to the appropriate member of staff, at the same time quick to offer a hot beverage.   
    Service Adviser Team of Kate Woodward, Glenn Waters and Leanne Gissing have always been most professional and engaging in dealing with all our servicing matters.  Should something out of the ordinary occur, as has happened to us on the very rare occasion,  Andrew Ruscoe the Workshop Controller has been most helpful and empathetic in dealing with the issue to our mutual satisfaction.  Finally, Michael Barbrook, who sold us our last Polo, could not be faulted as a Salesperson.  We found him charming, not pushy or overbearing and allowed us time to consider all the factors relevant to buying a new car.

    I make no apology for naming the above members of staff, as they have all over the years made our visit to Bury St Edmunds (Northgate) Volkswagen as enjoyable as possible.  You truly come over as a Happy family.

  • "I feelcompelled to write on behalf of my wife and I regarding what for us was anunusual experience yesterday in your Audi showroom.

    Early inthe morning, my wife and I jumped into our recently purchased Audi TT (fromIpswich Audi), whereupon lowering the driver’s side window, it appeared to jam,or lock in the halfway position and would not move either way afterwards. Isimply assumed that this was maybe locked due to the strong frost we have seen,so off we went to deliver our son to college in Bur St Edmunds. By now, thewindow still would not move, so I decided to call into your showroom, where wemet your Service Advisor Tanya.

    Iexplained our problem, to which she responded by asking if we had received a‘regulator change’, no was my response, she made some checks on the age andwarranty viability of the car, then said no problem, she would arrange for thisto happen, it would be carried out that day and she immediately arranged for aloan car.

    To be honest,throughout our car buying experiences (we have in the past purchased new BMW’s,Rang Rovers etc.), we have never experienced the level of quiet, professionalservice that we have thus experienced at both the Ipswich and now Bury StEdmunds Audi branches.

    My pointof writing is to congratulate both Tanya, your desk employee Sophia and yourbranch as it has been an absolute pleasure to both visit and be taken care ofin such a professional manner.

    When wecollected the car later yesterday afternoon, Tanya had made sure the repair wascompleted and had topped the whole process off with the car being completelycleaned and taking our son, who is studying to become a mechanic, on a quicktour of the workshops.

    All I cansay is that you can be assured that our next car purchase/s needs shall beconducted through your branch when the time comes.

    In themeantime, please pass on our grateful thanks and appreciation to Tanya, yourteam and the engineers for a superb all round service.

    My carwas towed to your dealership early Friday morning, within 30 minutes theproblem was diagnosed and confirmed what the RAC had thought the nightbefore, unfortunately neither parts or time allowed for the car to be fixedthat day, however, Dez made a fantastic effort and found me a car I could gethome to Chester in that afternoon.

    Icollected the car yesterday clean and ready to go and again all the staff I hadcontact with have been both friendly and professional.
