Discover the new Audi R8 Coupé The R8 Coupé boasts a sharply styled yet smooth-finished, aerodynamic body, which helps the vehicle to achieve its undoubted performance capabilities. Whichever paint finish you choose, it smartly contrasts with jet-black fixtures that include a striking link-grid radiator grille, accompanying air inlets and a discreet spoiler lip. A tailgate-mounted spoiler extends or retracts at the push of a button and the vehicle is fitted with minimum-size 19-inch, five-arm twin-spoke alloy wheels. The coveted R8 emblem features extensively – on door sill trims and at the base of a flat-bottomed leather steering wheel, for instance. Moreover, driver and co-passenger are provided with heated, electrically adjustable sport seats that are upholstered in fine Nappa leather.
High energy The beating heart of the R8 Coupé is a 5.2-litre 425bhp petrol, which is paired with seven-speed S-tronic transmission. This V10 unit produces a peak torque of 560Nm and 0-60mph in a little more than three seconds. On a race track, where speed is no object, the vehicle is capable of an astonishing 201mph.
Swift but safe To counteract the car’s powerful inclinations, a wide range of safety features are included. For example, Audi Sport brake pads – available in steel or optional ceramic – deliver the type of lightning-quick responsiveness and performance that a supercar such as this needs and deserves.
Audio and navigation The R8 Coupé provides lots of audio-listening options, thanks to a five-speaker sound system that includes DAB digital radio, AUX, SD and USB ports, Bluetooth connectivity and voice-control functionality. A 12.3-inch display dominates the car’s Virtual Cockpit, providing access to an array of navigation features, such as 3D mapping and real-time traffic updates. Plan every journey quickly and simply – and make any necessary adjustments en-route without breaking a sweat.
